This health center is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b, and deemed a Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n). InterCare will not discriminate against patients based on race, age, national origin, sex, (including gender identity, sexual orientation, and pregnancy), religion, disability, or genetic information. No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay. There is a discounted/sliding fee schedule available based on family size and income. The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), in accordance with the Federally Supported Health Centers Assistance Act (FSHCAA), deems InterCare Community Health Network to be an employee of the Public Health Service for the purpose of liability coverage as part of the FTCA (Federal Tort Claims Act). This health center receives HHS funding and has Federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.
